Donna began her training in the martial arts in 2011 with the study of Sho-Rei-Shobu-Kan Goju Ryu Karate-Do in Charlotte, North Carolina. In May 2014 she achieved her Shodan (first degree black belt) in Lincoln Nebraska, where she currently continues to train. In June 2016 she was awarded her Nidan (second degree black belt) in a test conducted in Washington D.C.
In addition to her Goju training, she also practices Matayoshi Kobudo with Brian Gorman Sensei, Tang Soo Do with Mr. Ted Rolling in Omaha Nebraska, and Chon-tu Hapkido with Michael Rowe Sabum in Wahoo Nebraska. She also practices Iaido and Kendo training in Omaha as time allows her. Donna is also one of the Youth Karate Instructors at Lincoln Martial Arts Center in Lincoln Nebraska.
Donna currently maintains rigorous training schedule, often traveling throughout the United States, and recently to Okinawa in order to learn and incorporate what she can from the best of the best. Donna is one of the most dedicated students of the Budo (warrior arts) that I have met in some time.
